Jangan politik bantuan rakyat
Sinar Harian 14 Feb 2011
Mohd Ridzuan berkata, sebagai NGO, pihaknya bukan sahaja berperanan memastikan kebajikan ahli dijaga, malah turut mempunyai fungsi membantu kerajaan membasmi kemiskinan rakyat.

Published on: Friday, April 13, 2007
Kota Kinabalu: A direct selling company and the Urusetia Bistari Malaysia (UBM) have lodged claims and counter claims against each other over membership fees, among other things.
While Anggun Products (M) Sdn Bhd lodged a report against UBM for allegedly cheating its members who had been recruited by the company, the latter lodged a report against the firm for allegedly making false statements to discredit it.
Anggun Products (M) Sdn Bhd Director, Mohd Ridzuan Abdullah, claimed despite having paid a fee, the members complained they had yet to receive their kad perintis (pioneer card) and paper on business proposal.
He said UBM had, on June 23, 2006, appointed Anggun Products to be the National Advisors Panel (Panel Penasihat Kebangsaan) for the Latihan Perantis Keusahawanan Bistari Malaysia 2006.
"Our responsibility after this appointment was to sell beauty products to members recommended by UBM at a price of RM274," he said, adding Anggun Products was also the industry mentor (Mentor Industri) for them to enroll in the Program Keusahawanan Bistari Malaysia 2006.
"From this RM274, we had to pay RM75 to UBM for each member. This RM75 was supposedly to cover the pioneer cards and papers on business proposal for the members to apply for a loan from the Government Fund.
Mohd Ridzuan said Anggun Products recruited 19,100 members until March 23, 2007 through UBM, adding after paying RM75 for each member, they have ended up paying a total RM1,432,500 to UBM as of the date aforementioned.
"We have informed that we received thousands of complaints from members yet to get their cards and papers on business proposal.
"They also expressed doubts on the sincerity of UBM in this programme in obtaining funds from the Government Fund," he said.
"To this day our company has yet to receive any kind of response from UBM despite many efforts and only recently the director refused to answer calls from members and our company," he alleged.
Mohd Ridzuan said he took the liberty of crosschecking with the Registrar of Societies (Pendaftar Pertubuhan Malaysia) at Putrajaya after a report was published in a local paper here on March 18, 2007, saying the NGO Komuniti Anggun Bistari Malaysia was appointed by the Prime Minister Department to manage the Program Usahawan Baru 2.
"I checked with the Registrar on April 9, to find out about the existence of UBM and Komuniti Bistari Malaysia.
"This check confirmed that UBM and Komuniti Bistari Malaysia were not registered," he said.
Mohd Ridzuan said on the same day, the company notified that it intended to terminate the collaboration with UBM and Komuniti Bistari Malaysia.
He said Anggun Products also found many of their documents such as member registration forms and receipts were missing from their office in the peninsula and here.
"We have lodged several police reports on our former employee at Seremban and Kota Kinabalu," he said.
Meanwhile, the Managing director of Komuniti Bistari Malaysia, Shaikh Hussin Shaikh Mahamud, lodged a report against a director of Anggun Products (M) Sdn Bhd at the Karamunsing police station at 4.30pm, Thursday.
Shaikh Hussin claimed the director said the SME Fund For All, which was meant to give out loans under the Small and Medium Industries, throughout the country during the Ninth Malaysian Plan (9MP), in fact does not exist and is a false agenda.

12 Feb 2011
- Bernama
